The SSF Women's Club focuses on community service programs to positively impact people around us locally and internationally. We support projects of the
General Federation of Women's Clubs & California Federation of Women's Clubs,
such as Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Programs, Civic Engagement and Outreach, Education and Veterans Programs to name a few.

For our National Day of Service in September, our volunteer members distributed information on CORA services to get the word out to help people connect with their services. Following this day of service, our members spent time in Tony's Closet, CORA's home goods store free to their clients.

SSFWC annually supports the SSF Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Education Fund for high school students in South San Francisco.

The BACN is a non-profit organization that provides services and supports for families in need with childcare, diapers and other support services families with small children need to thrive. Diapers, books, and other baby items have been gathered to support this important work.
Every year around the Holidays, SSFWC holds a donation and toy drive to bridge the gap that many families feel at this time of year. Toys and monetary donations are provided by our generous members bringing cheer and brighten their lives.

The Colma Veterans Village serves homeless and formerly homeless veterans in the SF Bay Area. This year SSFWC raised funds to support Colma Veterans Village through its Field of Flags fundraiser. Flags are flown in front of our clubhouse during Veterans Day Week.

Paws for Purple Hearts is a 501 (c) (3) organization which provides canine assisted warrior therapy, service dog placement, and facility dog placement for our veteran warriors. SSFWC was proud to support them with a fundraiser to this very important work for our Veterans.

SSFWC annually sponsors the placement of 20 wreaths at the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno. Wreath placement in 2025 will take place on December 13, 2025. SSFWC has provided over 1,000 cans of White Clam Chowder in 2025-2026 for their Friday Soup Lunch. This has helped to feed many homeless and veteran neighbors in our community. In 2025 the SSFWC was honored to receive the Ozanam Award recognizing us for our extraordinary commitment to ending food insecurities.

The Penny Pines Reforestation Program plays a vital role both in renewing the national forests in California and in multiple-use management. The SSFWC has continually donated funds to Penny Pines since its early years and continues to support this important work each year.
